Heyyyyyyy. So it’s been a few days since my last blog, in case you’ve noticed. J More like a year, and one baby later. Morning sickness is not fun and when I got pregnant I really did not feel like doing anything. Staying awake and keeping enough PB&J’s in my belly to not feel nauseous were top priority, then work responsibilities, farm chores, household stuff, you get the picture. Blogging was kinda at the bottom of the list and one of the first things to go. Second trimester was a lot better, but I still did not come back to blogging because I was focused on treasuring being pregnant and my last moments of not having parental responsibility. Third trimester was also pretty good - just difficult getting around. Then 12/31/15 – our lil man Abraham arrived! We are first time parents and have spent the past 6 months trying to figure out how to do it. We are all still alive, happy and healthy – so success!
Being a parent is most definitely all of the clichés – it is indeed the best and hardest job, and I love Abraham so much that sometimes it’s scary. The idea of something happening to him…I cant even. I know most parents can relate to these feelings. He’s a pretty happy baby. He definitely has a big personality and because I’m obsessed with him, he has learned to give me kisses because I just can’t stop kissing him. I think he is just the cutest thing ever and then he got baby glasses and got even cuter!!!! He makes me laugh and my heart smile, every single day. I feel extremely blessed. Ok, enough gushing – thanks for hanging in there.
One of my favorite things is watching Charles be a father. Not many things are sexier than a man being fatherly – gentle, loving, goofy, protective, fun. Sometimes he will take Abraham with him to do morning farm chores and let me get a little more sleep. Abraham loves it. He just rides along with his daddy, hanging out in his car seat and looking around during each stop. I hope that he loves growing up on a farm and always loves doing farm chores with us.
